About Catherine

I first had therapy myself when I was in my 30’s, while I was working in a corporate career. It really helped and inspired me to retrain as a counsellor and then psychotherapist; I gained a Diploma in Integrative Psychodynamic Counselling and then, with further training, an MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy from  Metanoia Institute, in London.

I also attend professional development workshops and conferences. Topics have included our relationship with food and eating disorders; trauma and the body; LGBT sexuality; the menopause; adolescents and risk; sibling relationships; infant development and autism.

In addition to my private practice, I volunteer for the affordable counselling agency, Riverside Counselling, in Henley on Thames. I have also taught tai chi for mental health in Henley for the voluntary agency, Sport in Mind and completed a six week placement on a psychiatric ward at Prospect Park Hospital in Reading.
